Blueprint
Using a primitive form of X-ray, Israel shines light through the pages of old picture books that have images printed on both sides of the page. The two previously separated images combine creating a new third image.
The light used to illuminate the paper reveals varying warm orange tones and shades inherent in the old paper.
In the Blueprint series the Betwixt images have been subsequently inverted, changing the image to its contrasting blue opposite leaving a negative of the original image.
